Joan Adams Sesma joined us at the front desk in April 2009. She has worked with Mark Monninger on the financial planning side since July 2006. Her goal is to help us all stay organized so we can help you reach your financial goals.

Joan grew up in southern California and lived in Nashville and St. Louis before moving to Maryland in 1995 with her husband and three daughters. She’s a graduate of the University of San Diego with a degree in Psychology. She has worked in university and medical libraries, as a desktop publisher, and as senior editor for books and journals.

When Joan is not here, she is probably working on her web site about her parents during World War II, or on family history/genealogy, or visiting two daughters who live and work in New York and her youngest at the University of Maryland. She loves to travel but also likes to stay close to home so she can play mah jongg with her friends. Joan will probably always be a “California Girl” but has come to appreciate the Atlantic Ocean and loves to go to the Outer Banks with her family.
